When people walk into my store, they often see beautiful jewelry, personalized pieces, and a welcoming space designed to celebrate women. What they don't always see is the journey behind it—the years of uncertainty, sacrifice, and determination that made it all possible.
My name is Julie Saldivia, and I am a Venezuelan jewelry designer, entrepreneur, wife, and dreamer.
Starting Over in America
In 2014, I arrived in the United States from Venezuela carrying little more than hope.
Like many immigrants, I arrived with fears, uncertainty, and enormous responsibilities. I didn't know exactly how my future would unfold, but I knew one thing: I wasn't willing to give up on my dreams.
Jewelry had always been my creative language. It allowed me to express emotions, tell stories, and create beauty with my own hands.
I began designing jewelry in Rhode Island, selling my creations to friends, neighbors, and anyone willing to support a newcomer with a dream.
Every sale mattered.
Every compliment gave me confidence.
Every mistake became a lesson.
Learning Through Every Move
Life took me to Boston, where I continued experimenting with new materials, techniques, and designs.
I made mistakes.
I failed.
I started over more times than I can count.
Finding my own style wasn't easy, but I never stopped searching for the identity that would eventually become Julie Saldivia.
Looking back, those years weren't failures—they were the foundation of everything I would later build.
The Power of Community
My next chapter brought me to Miami.
There, I met an incredible group of talented women who believed in creativity, collaboration, and supporting one another.
Together we created Creativas en Miami, a community of artisans from many different creative backgrounds.
We sold at local markets, craft fairs, restaurants, festivals, and even outside supermarkets.
Those long days under the Florida sun taught me that success isn't built inside a perfect store.
It's built one customer at a time.
One conversation at a time.
One opportunity at a time.
Those women reminded me that when women support women, incredible things happen.
Love Brought Me to North Carolina
Life surprised me once again.
I found love, got married, and moved to Greensboro, North Carolina.
It was another fresh start.
Another city.
Another community.
Another chance to build my dream.
I opened my very first kiosk inside a local shopping mall.
Every day I learned more—not only about jewelry, but about customer service, business, marketing, and perseverance.
Slowly, my dream continued growing.
Finding a Home at Revolution Mill
Eventually, I made one of the biggest decisions of my career.
I opened my first store inside Revolution Mill.
For the first time, I had a place that truly reflected my vision.
It wasn't just a jewelry store.
It became a place where women could celebrate milestones, create memories, personalize meaningful pieces, and feel seen.
Then the unexpected happened.
When Everything Stopped
Like so many small businesses around the world, the pandemic changed everything.
I had to close my store.
I packed up my dream and returned to the garage of my home.
Starting over again wasn't easy.
There were moments of uncertainty.
Moments when I questioned whether I should continue.
But giving up was never part of my story.
I kept designing.
I kept creating.
I kept believing.
Returning Stronger Than Ever
In 2024, I had the opportunity to return to Revolution Mill.
This time, not to the same space—but to a much larger storefront located at the entrance of the building.
Walking through those doors every morning reminds me how far this journey has taken me.
Not because success came overnight.
But because I never stopped moving forward.
More Than Jewelry
Today, Julie Saldivia is more than a jewelry brand.
It's a reminder that every woman deserves to feel confident, beautiful, and empowered.
I don't design jewelry to stay inside a jewelry box.
I design pieces that become part of everyday life.
Pieces you can wear to work.
To dinner.
On vacation.
To celebrate birthdays.
To mark new beginnings.
To remember the people you love.
Luxury, to me, isn't about unattainable prices.
Luxury is wearing something that makes you feel like the best version of yourself.
